We are a powerhouse group of labor union women, femmes, and allies making a difference in the metropolitan D.C. area labor community. As a chapter of the Coalition of Labor Union Women we are proud to advocate for and advance issues impacting labor union women and femmes.

Women in Labor Series: How the Women's Bureau Advocates for Working Women

Join Metro DC CLUW for our monthly membership meeting. This month we are pleased to welcome the Department of Labor's Women's Bureau to speak with the chapter as part of our Women in Labor Series.

Women in the workforce are vital to the nation’s economic security. The U.S. Department of Labor Women’s Bureau champions policies and standards that safeguard the interests of working women, advocates for the equality and economic security of women and their families, and promotes quality work environments. During this presentation, you will hear from the Women’s Bureau’s Mid Atlantic Regional Office. They will provide information on the WB’s data and policy analysis, grantmaking and national and state-based stakeholder engagement activities. They will also provide information on the agency’s latest resources.
