We are a powerhouse group of labor union women, femmes, and allies making a difference in the metropolitan D.C. area labor community. As a chapter of the Coalition of Labor Union Women we are proud to advocate for and advance issues impacting labor union women and femmes.

Queen of The Night is an autobiographical play written by Elise Bryant. This is a reading of the first act of this work in progress.

You'll find a rich group of true-to-life characters portrayed by the playwright just as they were remembered to be. This entirely engaging story unfolds in not only spoken word but in song and poetic structure.

This must see event can be experienced on March 18, 2023, 3:00 pm at the National League of American Pen Women, 1300 17th Street, NW, Washington, DC.

Join with your CLUW siblings at the Young Women Workers Conference and/or the CLUW Education Conference. These dynamic tranings will be filled with workshops, speakers and solidarity!

Members in Action

DC CLUW members joined worker activists in a rally on Dec. 9, 2022 to support Starbucks workers and their one year anniversary of organizing their first store.

DC CLUW members who are also AFGE members are sworn into their leadership roles at their local unions. 

DC CLUW members represented the chapter at the Maryland State-DC AFLCIO Convention held in October 2022. Chapter member Tyra served as the chair of the resolution committee and chapter member John served as the recording secretary for the committee.
