Reproductive Rights are Human Rights

With the U.S. Supreme Court's disastrous decision to overturn the constitutional protections to access abortions we are indeed in perilous times when it comes to reproductive health care. It is critical that we stay informed about what lies ahead and that we support local abortion funds and on-the-ground reproductive justice organizers

The Metropolitan Area D.C. Chapter of CLUW follows in the path of CLUW women and femmes who have fought for a person's right to determine how, when and if they will have children. We commit our unwavering support to those who seek abortion care. We are committed to expanding our knowledge and advocacy around reproductive health, and we uplift the work of reproductive justice organizers and activists. It is imperative that we continue our support of local organizations and collectives that support birthing people in every aspect of their reproductive journey.

We hope that this page can be a resource for workers in the DMV who are looking for the labor movement in particular to be more active in the reproductive rights movement. We have also included information about reproductive rights & health care workers who are unionizing! We rise in solidarity with all workers who seek a voice on the job and dignity at work. Please check back for regular updates to this page.
